Christer Osterling joined the Jaycees almost ten years ago and has served the Greater Hartford Jaycees on many different levels. In 1999, Christer chaired his first project, coordinating the Greater Hartford Jaycees’ volunteers for the local Special Olympics.

In 2000, Christer stepped up to be on the Board of Directors and went on to serve the Greater Hartford Jaycees Foundation as Public Relations Director in 2003. He is also active with the Travelers Championship, having served on their Executive Committee four times, chairing Security, Personnel, Scoring and Special Events.

In 2005, Christer made the jump to the state level, taking on the role of Individual Development Vice President and in 2006, served the state as the Management Development Vice President. He was elected President in the fall of 2006.

Christer is employed as a Communications Consultant with United Healthcare in Hartford.

Christer is a 1998 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, where he majored in Communications and minored in Journalism. In addition to the Jaycees, he is also an active member of American Mensa.
