Kate Jackson has been a member of the Danbury Jaycees since July 2003 and has been involved in varying levels within the chapter from serving as a committee member and project chairperson to participating as a board member.
In 2004, Kate served as Management Development Vice President for the chapter overseeing financial and chapter management. In 2005, Kate was the Membership Vice President in charge of coordinating membership rosters as well as new and renewal memberships.
Kate served as Danbury Jaycee chapter President in 2006 believing that Jaycee Enthusiasm Never Goes Away (JENGA). Under her leadership the chapter was awarded the Blue Chip Award of Excellence and the Barry Peterson Memorial Award. In addition, Kate was honored with an Outstanding Local President award.
2007 brings a new exciting opportunity for Kate in serving on the Connecticut Jaycees board of directors as Executive Vice President. Kate enjoys visiting other local chapters within the state as well as attending National meetings.
Besides the Jaycees, Kate is also a Girl Scout leader and an active member within her church. She enjoys the outdoors and playing basketball and soccer, as well as hiking. Kate also likes to read and travel.
Kate works for Danbury Youth Services, Inc., a private non-profit agency in Danbury designated as the youth service bureau for the City of Danbury. |
